Handmade from Kentucky Eastern Red Cedar, the Bluegrass Plant Hanger is designed to hold standard 4" and 6" terra cotta pots by their collar, creating a simple gravity-supported system that requires no clips, shelves, or additional hardware. Simply lower each pot into the slot, level it, and let gravity do the rest. It's an easy way to create a beautiful vertical garden indoors or outdoors while saving valuable floor and shelf space.

I designed the Bluegrass Plant Hanger to display plants beautifully while keeping them secure. Rather than balancing pots on shelves or relying on clips and brackets, each terra cotta pot rests by its collar, making it easy to remove, rearrange, or replace plants whenever inspiration strikes.
Each hanger is handcrafted in my Lexington, Kentucky workshop from Kentucky-sourced Eastern Red Cedar (Aromatic Cedar) and suspended with natural rope. The cedar's natural beauty, aroma, and resistance to decay make it an excellent choice for both indoor and outdoor use.

Middle Hanger Only
Holds four standard terra cotta pots in any combination of 4" and 6" sizes.
3 Piece Set
Includes the 24" middle hanger plus two approximately 10" side hangers.
The side hangers attach to any 6" pot on the middle piece and can be positioned higher or lower while facing either direction. Each side hanger holds one additional 4" pot, allowing you to create a symmetrical display, a staggered arrangement, or a cascading vertical garden.

How It Works
Each slot is precision cut to support the raised collar found on standard terra cotta pots. Once the pot is seated, gravity naturally keeps it in place without clips, fasteners, or complicated hardware.
Because the pot is supported by its collar instead of simply resting on a shelf, the design uses gravity to keep each pot securely seated, even during windy conditions. As with any hanging planter, avoid locations where the display could repeatedly strike a wall, post, or other object during high winds.

Weight Guidance
I've personally tested planted arrangements weighing between 40 and 50 pounds, including pots, soil, plants, and a hanging feeder. For everyday use, I recommend keeping the total weight near 30 pounds and always using a secure mounting point rated for the intended load.
