HANDCRAFTED HARDWOOD KEY HOLDER

This handcrafted hardwood key holder provides a dedicated place for the keys you reach for every day while adding the natural beauty of real wood to your home. Each one is individually handcrafted in my Lexington, KY wood shop from carefully selected hardwoods, allowing the natural grain, figure, and color of the wood to become part of the design.

This two hook key holder measures approximately 3" wide by 5" tall and is handcrafted from Birdsyeye Maple, Purpleheart, and Black Walnut. It features antique brass or black metal hooks and hand-chamfered edges.

THE STORY BEHIND MY KEY HOLDERS

The idea for these key holders started with a problem in our own home. My wife, Niamh, and I have several sets of keys for our vehicles and other things, but we never had a dedicated place to keep them. Keys ended up on counters, tables, and wherever else we happened to leave them, and we were constantly trying to find them.

So, I made Niamh a small walnut key holder of her own, personalized and engraved with something meaningful to her. She loved it and immediately became very serious about making sure our keys actually got hung on it.

I was a little slower to develop the habit. I'd still leave mine on the counter occasionally, Niamh would get onto me about putting them where they belonged, and I learned to do as I'm told. Now our keys go on the holder when we come home, and we don't have to go looking for them when it's time to leave.

That simple solution to a problem in our own home inspired the key holders I make today: a dedicated place for something you use every day, handcrafted from beautiful hardwoods and designed to be something you'll enjoy seeing on your wall.

MOUNTING

A concealed keyhole slot is individually hand cut into the back for simple wall mounting with a single screw. No mounting hardware is visible from the front.

The depth of the wall screw can be adjusted so the key holder fits snugly against the wall. When properly adjusted, the holder remains totally secure and stable as keys are added and removed rather than hanging loosely or leaning to one side.

FINISH

CLEAN ARMOR 
Finished with Clean Armor Wood Finish, a professional UV cured clear finish that protects the wood while allowing its natural color, grain, and figure to remain the focus. Clean Armor contains no VOCs or HAPs and provides a durable protective surface with resistance to scratches, abrasion, marring, heat, chemicals, and impact.
